FOUNDED IN 2012
The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) was founded in 2012 by Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. CLF invests in climate justice initiatives in the Caribbean and United States and helps communities prepare for and withstand natural disasters.
We support and fund climate resilience and climate justice projects while advocating for systems change in the U.S. and Caribbean.
We tailor our approach to address the unique needs of the communities in which we work.
We tackle issues through local innovative projects and connection with frontline communities, advocacy groups, decision makers, and philanthropists.
